I received my Master of Laws degree from the University of Helsinki in 2006. Before this I worked at the firm as a student paralegal from 2002. I started as a lawyer at our firm after my graduation in 2006. I was accepted as a member of the Finnish Bar Association in June 2010. I wrote my graduate thesis in 2006 in the field of sports law. My thesis "Vedonlyöjän rikosoikeudellisen vastuun ongelmakohdat urheiluvedonlyönnissä" (The Problems in Criminal Liability of a Bettor in Sports Betting) was published the same year in the Sports Law publishing series of the University of Turku faculty of law My particular fields of interest in the legal sphere are both criminal and civil trials (litigation), human rights law and legal questions relating to sports. In addition, issues relating to cross-border family and inheritance law are, due to their challenging nature as well as the fact that European law often is applied in these fields of law, something that I have a special interest in. I am also a member of the Sports Law Association (urheiluoikeuden yhdistys). I am bilingual in the domestic languages and therefore handle assignments also in courts both in Finnish and in Swedish. In addition to these languages fluent English is used with clients on a daily basis. During my freetime I try to exercise and when the weather allows I head for the golf course. I'm also an eager sports fan with football as my favourite sport. I've also played football myself until injuries ended my career in 1999. After this I was active in football as a coach for several years but nowadays I'm only active as a spectator. Main fields of practice:
