You need JavaScript enabled to view it I received my Master of Laws degree from the University of Helsinki in 1985, and performed court training in the Iitti circuit. I worked as Associate Counsel in the law office of Heikki Salo from 1987 to 1990, after which I became a Partner at Fredman and Månsson. I have been a member of the Finnish Bar Association since 1989. I have handled human rights cases. The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg has delivered a judgement in 18 of these cases. I have also represented three clients in two cases in the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg. In Finland 27 of my cases have been accepted to the yearbook of the Supreme Court. 10 cases are included in the yearbook of the Supreme Administrative Court.I have assisted ten persons who have been at risk of extradition from Finland. In nine cases we have succedeed in preventing the extradition.
During years 2005-2011 I was a board member of the Finnish Bar Association and Chairman of the Bar's specialists' groups on Criminal Procedure Law and Human Rights Law. I am a member of the Government appointed National Discrimination Tribunal and was a member of the Government appointed Commission to inquire into the development trends of the court system in Finland.
